PURPOSE AND SCOPE

JMG Entry Level Sales Agent will assist in all areas of sales and report directly to the Sales Agent in specified territory. The position is designed to receive on-the-job training and knowledge of our services, products, support, clients, and market niche with the goal of becoming a Sales Agent. Must exercise effective communication, organization, and critical thinking with internal and external clients.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Will be responsible for assisting in all areas of new business, existing business, and all activity within the specified territory.
  • Help design and quote fire, burglar, and access control and camera systems as directed by the Sales Agent.
  • Assist with site surveys of buildings to fully understand the clients’ needs as directed.
  • Work closely with the Sales Agent and Project Manager to understand and help coordinate job installations based on your scope of work and the expectations of the client.
  • Attend job-site meetings as necessary.
  • Perform other related duties as required or directed by Sales Agent.
  • Attend monthly sales meetings in the office or remotely.
  • Provide weekly activity reports of any tasks that are in progress or need to be completed.
  • Must be able to comfortably communicate with the clients and assist with service requests, installation dates, etc.
  • Salary commensurate with experience.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred. A minimum of 3 – 5 years’ experience in a sales or customer service-related business.

Special Skills and/or Desirable Qualifications: Alarm industry experience desirable. Service oriented, excellent verbal and written communication skills, self-motivated team player, goal and results oriented. The ability to work remotely if necessary.

Computer Skills: Working knowledge of Windows Operating Systems, Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Must have a current California Driver’s License. Must be able to obtain an Alarm Company Employee registration as issued through California Bureau of Security and Investigative Services.

Starting Salary: $42,000 per Year
