Position Summary

JMG SECURITY SYSTEMS, INC., a leading security integration company is looking for a Warehouse assistant to work in our Fountain Valley office and report to our Director of Purchasing.  JMG specializes in the sales, installation, and service of Intrusion, Fire, Access Control, and Video Management Systems for medium to large commercial facilities, from the central coast to the Mexican border. In business for 32 years, JMG’s corporate office is located in Fountain Valley, CA, with a branch in Escondido, CA.

Essential Functions

  • Light shipping and receiving duties, with most of it being receiving.
  • Staging of received equipment for individual jobs.
  • Signing parts out to sub-contractors and JMG personnel.
  • Entering sign out sheets into JMG’s business operating program.
  • Will call equipment from vendors when needed.
  • Deliver parts to field personnel when needed.
  • Assist in performing quarterly warehouse inventories in conjunction with the corporate office purchasing department.
  • Perform light duty cleaning and upkeep of the offices and warehouse.

Minimum Qualifications

  • The ability to obtain an Alarm Company Employee (ACE) card from the California Department of Consumer Affairs.
  • The ability to lift at least 30 lbs.
  • General knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • General knowledge of Adobe Acrobat.
  • Organized and customer service focused.


  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Physical Demands

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, equipment or controls and talk or hear.
  • The employee frequently is required to sit.
  • The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
  • Specific vision and abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • The noise level in the work environment is medium to moderate.
  • Regular attendance is required.
